Story Behind a Name

"Hot, Flat and Crowded"??! When you're not original, all you can do is copy. Want to accuse me of plagiarism? Guilty as charged. I find it nonetheless a fitting description of my first impression of Lakeshore. Hot? Well that's obvious, I feel like May is bad, breathing water at 85F, can't wait for August. The relief is somewhat bland, there's not a hill in sight. Not surprising given it's only a minute or so from the beach. I guess flat is acceptable when the beach is within walking distance. Now crowded is somewhat surprising, because honestly it's not. I am truly lost in the boonies out here. The closest town is Bay St Louis, and it has 6000 inhabitants. No, crowded is in reference to the hoard of insects inhabiting the area. Most insects might be harmless in your mind, well everywhere but Mississippi. They all bite here, every last one of them. Flies, fire ants, mosquitos, even the gnats! Needless to say, Lakeshore has personality; hard to get along with a times, but far from boring.
